Neil Christiansen
Project Manager
Neil fell in love with theatre in 5th grade when he saw Les Miserables and got to go back stage. He spent summers seeing Shakespeare at The American Players Theatre, attended International High School Theatre Festival, and studied directing at Viterbo College.
Neil’s interest eventually led to a destined career in and around theatre. He worked with First Folio Theatre, Designlab Chicago, Fermilab Arts and Lecture series, and Freeman AV. He held positions across all disciplines—Lighting Designer, Stage Manager, Project Manager, Technical Director, and Production Manager.
At Show Department, Neil specifies the creative and technical needs for his clients’ projects, providing design and execution solutions that are unique and cost effective.
Neil confesses to being easily distracted by shiny objects (which might be what drew him to the stage in the first place). But he doesn’t have quite the same affection for Brussels sprouts or bad drivers.
