Audiovisual Project Manager

Show Department, Inc. currently has positions available for experienced Audiovisual Project Managers in our Chicago office. Successful candidates must have comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of show staging including video, projection/display, multi-camera switching systems, audio, lighting, rigging and labor. Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, focus on customer service and computer proficiency required.

Knowledge of JBL Line Array, Sony Hi-Definition Systems, Barco Projectors, Folsom Research products and CAD a plus. Responsibilities include working closely with clients and sales staff in the planning, budgeting, execution and completion of events, including:

  • Site surveys
  • Budget preparation
  • Ensuring all equipment and labor are properly identified and obtained
  • Coordination of equipment delivery, install, operation, tear down, load out
  • Coordination of rigging, power, drayage and house equipment
  • Coordination of CAD floor plans and lighting plot and venue/Fire Marshall approval
  • Prepare final billing

Five or more years experience in the live event and audiovisual staging industry is preferred.
