Project Overview Motion Industries a national distributor of industrial maintenance, repair and replacement parts hosted their 2011 national supplier/dealer meeting at the Atlanta Hilton for 900 attendees over three days in November. Suppliers were recognized for making significant contributions in the area of supply chain integration and process improvement.
General Session We started months in advance to develop, build and test the 104’ wide front projection screen that curved out into the audience. The entire surface and surround elements of the screen displayed 10:1 projection and media server driven imagery respectively. A raised stadium platform system for theater style audience seating ensured everyone has a stellar view.
Social Media Component One of the key goals was to educate, inspire and gain buy in from the attendees with regard to social media and the latest communication vehicles. iPads were awarded to those who demonstrated the greatest engagement. We created an 85" wide x 1' tall “Internal Chatter Wall” (Twitter like interactive medium) that securely allowed management and attendees to post comments, announcements and photos to the wall live throughout the conference.
